It was part of a CSS style competition that Alex King, part of the Wordpress dev team, was hosting. There were some pretty nice ones. Although Dark Fire (the name of this style) was not a prize winner, it did receive an honorable mention…
Speaking of Wordpress, I just have to say that Wordpress is perfect for what it does and its easy to use.. I upgraded last night from 0.72 to 1.0.1 and it was a breeze. I just ran an upgrade script and in about 1 minute, everything was converted and good to go. Anyone looking to host their own blog without the necessary technical knowledge should check out Wordpress..
Also, I was itching to spend money last night.. so I bought another domain.. I never really liked ‘aricswebsite.com’ and I also got ‘anrgyaric.com’ (they were only $5.99 per year, so why not?).. aricswebsite was just a little too.. boring.. and angryaric is just.. too angry.. so I was looking for ‘aric’ domains.. I figured since my name is spelled different (one time, a cashier at a store tried to convince me I spelled it wrong.. I told her its a German spelling but I don’ t think she understood me), it wouldn’t be hard to find one.. I was wrong.. every ‘aric’ domain was taken.. aric.com, the natural choice.. happens to be the acronym for American Republic Insurance Company.. and aric.net was taken by Amatuer Radio Internet Club or something like that.. whatever.. dot info, ws, dot net, cc, org.. they were all taken.. the only one not taken was aric.tv because, I speculate, the registration fee is the most expensive, $34.95 at GoDaddy.com.. so I got it.. so yeah, if its any easier for you, you can access my glorious website at http://www.aric.tv..
On the Taiwan front, I ate downstairs at work today in the “cafeteria”.. it was aight.. but I just can’t get over the smell.. not only does the cafeteria smell like a culmination of 2 weeks worth of food and food-waste.. the people are beginning to smell again because the sun is out.. I had the misfortune of being an unsuspecting victim of a woman walking by.. she smelled like old, dirty laundry with a dash of BO.. if that won’t turn a man gay, I don’t know what will..
